Complete Nielsen Ratings: September 25 - October 1, 2017
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #97:
NBC and CBS split leadership for the first week of the 2017-18 season. CBS was the most watched network, while NBC had the advantage in the three demographic categories. The fight for third was close also, as ABC edged out FOX in the battle. The CW is still in encores, and in its usual 5th place spot.
NBC's win was a little more diverse than usual, with THE VOICE (#13 & #14), THIS IS US (#8) and WILL & GRACE (#16) joining SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (#3) programming in the top 30. But non of the LAW & ORDER or CHICAGO franchise series made the top third of the list.
CBS took the most top 30 spots, with 19. THE BIG BANG THEORY and the series premiere of YOUNG SHELDON took the top two spots respectively. NCIS (#7) remains the most watched drama and 60 MINUTES (#10) leads all news programs.
ABC took only four spots in the top 30, two from DANCING WITH THE STARS (#24 & #29), GREY'S ANATOMY (#27) and new hit series, THE GOOD DOCTOR (#12).
Like most of the summer, FOX failed to push a single show into the top 30 of the week. EMPRE was its best showing, ranking 32nd with 7.1 million viewers. everything else ranks 47th, or worse.
