Complete Nielsen Ratings: October 2 - 8, 2017
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #101:
NBC wins the second week of this young TV season, but not in dominating fashion, thanks to a season low for SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. The #1 program on TV drew just 16.5 million viewers and posted a 5.8 rating in Adults 18-49. That is slightly down from the previous week's viewers numbers, now the second lowest number of the season. Week two of WILL AND GRACE (#27) also took a hit in the ratings, losing three million viewers and a third of its A18-49 rating. NBC pushed seven shows into the top 30, with THIS IS US (#7) as its top entertainment program.
Without any NFL overrun, CBS was down a bit, but still came in second place. THE BIG BANG THEORY (#4) was the top entertainment program of the week, with NCIS (#5) right behind. The series premiere of 9JKL ranked 23rd on the week and the first episode of MADAME SECREATARY for the season took the #26 spot. CBS dominated the top 30, taking 17 spots and all non-Saturday programs ranked 46th or better.
FOX edged out ABC for the #3 spot, mainly with a 40 minute NFL overrun taking the #1 spot of the week, with just under 24 million viewers and a 7.5 rating in the A18-49 demo. The OT (#6) was the second highest rated program on the network and completes the number of top 30 shows for FOX.
ABC is looking like a dying network, with just four shows in the top 30, including Saturday Night College Football ranking 30th. THE GOOD DOCTOR (#10), DANCING WITH THE STARS (#17) and GREY'S ANATOMY (#24) complete the ABC list of top 30 programs.
This is the last week of summer for the CW as new episodes begin October 9th, so look for the return of the Weekly CW Ratings post to the site.
