Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 09/07/2017
NBC dominated the Thursday night rating with the Kickoff game of the 2017 NFL season. The game featuring the Patriots vs the Chiefs, drew 20.7 million viewers and posted a 7.2 rating in Adults 28-49. With the pregame festivities, NBC averaged 19.6 million viewers and a 6.7 demo rating.
The NFL game didn't slow down BIG BROTHER, on CBS, as the Thursday edition draw at season levels of 6.1 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the demo. ZOO, following at 10 PM, still did poorly, holding just 2.8 million viewers and a 0.5 demo. With the 8 PM comedy encores, CBS averaged 4.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49.
The FOX game shows edged out ABC for third, averaging 2.2 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating.
ABC's average was 2.5 million and a 0.6 demo. Both BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS and THE GONG SHOW aired season finales
The CW averaged 1.3 million viewers and a 0.3 demographic rating.
