The four of the five broadcast networks were in encores, on the first day of the Labor Day holiday weekend. NBC, airing a two hour special on the 20th Anniversary of the death of Princess Diana, DIANA, 7 DAYS, rose the special to nightly win, averaging 4.0 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49. The two-hour special drew 3.9 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating. At 10 PM, NBC's DATELINE drew the night' best demo rating, a 0.8 score, while collecting 4.2 million viewers.
CBS was the most watched network with its three drama encores, averaging 4.4 million viewers, along with a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. BLUE BLOODS was the most watched program of the night, with just over five million viewers.
ABC averaged a 0.6 demographic rating, and a total viewership of 3.1 million viewers. 2020, the only orignal program for ABC, drew 2.8 million viewers and a 0.6 demo.
FOX fourth on the night, with a double-shot of MASTERCHEF encores, which averaged 1.5 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49.
The CW was a 0.2 demo rating and averaged 1.1 million viewers.
