Final Broadcast Ratings: September 26, 2017
NBC wins night two of the 2017-18 season, sweeping and dominating the demographic categories and coming in second in total viewership. The hit drama, THIS IS US posted the best numbers on the night, with a 3.9 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 2.7 rating in the younger, A18-34 age group. THE VOICE led into the drama with 10.9 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in the A18-49 demographic. Low point of the night, for NBC was the new anthology series, LAW & ORDER: TRUE CRIME, which lost over half its THIS IS US lead in audience. NBC still won every hour of the night, except viewership, at 8 PM.
The CBS crime dramas pushed CBS to the most watched network of the night and a second place finish, overall. But, each one of the shows were down from last year's premieres. NCIS lost 2.5 million viewers and nearly 20% in the demo. BULL dropped 5.7 million viewers and nearly a full point in the demo. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was off by 2.3 million viewers and over 30% in the demographic rating.
ABC secured third place with a consistent night, including the season finale of CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD and DANCING WITH THE STARS. The two shows posted similar ratings, in the three demographic categories.
FOX still continues to be a 4th place network, beating only CW encores in each hour.
