Primetime Cable Ratings: August 21, 2017

The president's address to the nation pushed FOX News to the top of the cable ratings. The 25 minute address drew 5.1 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-49. The analysis show, afterwards, kept 4.4 million viewers and all of the A18-49 audience.

MSNBC drew 2.7 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating for their address coverage, while THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW that followed grew to 3.1 million viewers.

CNN's 9 PM ratings, for AC360, was just 2.4 million viewers, with the Paul Ryan Town Hall, that followed, keeping 2.3 million viewers. Both CNN programs averaged a 0.5 demo rating.
