US Box Office Results: June 30 - July 2, 2017
The fourth installment of the DESPICABLE ME franchise topped this weekend's box office, with DESPICABLE ME 3 bringing in a solid $75.4 million. That is just $8 million behind DM2's opening weekend and better than the first movie, back in 2010. But it is a far cry from last year's MINIONS movie, which hauled in $115 million, in its opening weekend.
Action film, BABY DRIVE, did a decent $21 million in its first three days. It is director Edgar Wright' best opening weekend, of his five films, more than doubling SCOTT PILGAM, in 2010.
WONDER WOMAN continues to impress, adding another $16 million and approaching $350 total, domestically. It is less than $40 million from overtaking GUARDIANS 2, with plenty of life still in it.
