Preliminary Ratings: Sunday - Tuesday 07/02 - 07/04, 2017
After five days with no data for the phone and no internet at the cabin in the woods, the repairman fixed the issues at the cabin and I am back to connected civilization... for now.
Not much to report with the long holiday weekend and the networks in encore mode while most of us are traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
On Sunday, BIG BROTHER and AMERICAN GRIT were the only programs in original episodes. For FOX, AMERICAN GRIT did its usual horrible numbers, drawing just 1.1 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49.It put FOX in last place on the night. ABC and NBC battled it out for 2nd place, with both nets in repeats. CBS, all on the strength on BIG BROTHER, was able to squeak out a victory. The reality series hauled in 5.2 million viewers and a decent 1.4 demo rating.
On Monday night, it was all-NBC with its all-original lineup. AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR drew 5.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the A18-49 demo, while lead out, SPARTAN, held onto 3.6 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating, at 10 PM. FOX's SUPERHUMAN was the only other original program, collecting 1.6 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating.
On Independence Day, only NBC's presentation of Macy's 4th of July Fireworks were orignal on the night. the special attracted five million viewers in the 8 PM hour and a solid 7.9 million viewers at 9 PM. The encore of the second hour, at 10 PM, kept 5.1 million viewers. The A18-49 rating through the night was a 0.9 rating at 8 PM, a 1.6 rating at 9 PM and a 1.1 rating at 10 PM.
