But, that did not stop NBC which still poured out original episodes of nearly all of its summer shows. CBS was #1 in total viewers and the younger A18-34 demographic, while NBC edged out victories in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos.
CBS, powered by three nights of BIG BROTHER, pushed 15 programs in the top 30, 12 of which were encore episodes. The network had the top two program in 60 MINUTES and THE BIG BANG THEORY, respectively. All but its Saturday night shows made the top 50.
NBC pushed nine shows in the top 30, lead by LITTLE BUG SHOTS: FOREVER YOUNG at #4 and the Macy's Fireworks show at #5. Not having new episodes of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT and WORLD OF DANCE did hurt the network, but still a soild showing for a holiday week.
ABC was third on the week, with only three top 20 shows and six top 30 programs. its best showing is CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD at #3.
FOX's best showing was the Saturday Night MLB game, drawing 2.5 million viewers and ranking 54th overall.
