FOX saw a big rise in its summer ratings, thanks to the 2017 MLB All-Star Game (#2), Tuesday night. The annual event brought in 9.28 million viewers, a 1.8 rating in the A18-34 demographic and a 2.3 rating in the A18-49 demo, for more than 3 hours, for the 10-inning game. The 45 minute pregame ranked 21st on the week, with 4.5 million viewers.
NBC posted the top number in all four reported categories, including a tie in the A18-34 demo with FOX. AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was the #1 show of the week, with 12.6 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in the A18-49 demo. A Special Thursday edition of the series ranked 3rd, with 7.1 million viewers. For the week, NBC took 10 spots in the top 30.
ABC pushed just six programs into the top 30, including the three-hour ESPY AWARDS, on Wednesday night. The awards show posted a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49, along with 5.3 million total viewers. The network's top performer was CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD, ranking 7th, with 6.2 million viewers.
CBS was the #4 network on the week, posting the demographic numbers that only tops The CW. The network did collect 12 top 30 programs, but is still heavy in the encore airings. Plus, its two summer dramas, ZOO (#47) and new series, SALVATION (#19) are delivering soft numbers. Only BIG BROTHER (#6, #9 and #13) is the only summer draw for CBS original content.
