ABC and FOX excel in the Sunday night ratings, with a bulk of their night devoted to original programming, while CBS and NBC are mostly encores and finishing in the lower half of the night.
FOX tied ABC in the A18-49 demo, thanks to 90 minutes of overrun from the US Open Golf Tournament. The tournament brought in over six million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49, into primetime. Of course, AMERICAN GRIT squandered most of the lead in, averaging less than two million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating.
ABC's game shows had a solid night , averaging a 1.1 rating, from 8 to 11 pm. Viewership averaged around 5.3 million, during the same time frame. CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD was the top show for ABC, grabbing 6.1 million viewers and 1.4 demo rating.
CBS was all encore, drawing minimal demo rating thought the night, including a 0.2 rating in Adults 18-34.
NBC's SUNDAY NIGHTS WITH MEGYN KELLY did no better than an encore of 60 MINUTES, but encores of NINJA WARRIOR and SPARTAN did do better than the CBS drama encores.
