With the start of the NBA Finals, ABC dominated the week in the ratings. Game one of the FInals drew 18.7 million viewers and a 6.9 rating in Adults 18-49, for the #2 spot, while game two drew 19.7 million viewers and a 7.1 demo rating. ABC also pushed two NBA Countdown shows and a JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE (#23) pregame into the top 30, along with THE BACHELORETTE (#12).
NBC had an easy time securing the second spot on the weekly chart, with premieres of its bigger summer shows. AMERICA'S GOT TALENT (#3) hauled in 12.3 million viewers and a 2.7 demo rating. New competition series, WORLD OF DANCE held on to most of its AGT lead in to grab fourth place overall. The new SUNDAY NIGHTS W/MEGYN KELLY brought in 6.2 million viewers, for the #10 spot, and Game One of the Stanley Cup Finals collected 4.9 million viewers for the #17 spot. In total, NBC placed 10 shows in the top 30.
CBS was pretty much all-encores for the week, with just a season finale of BULL (#9) and THE AMAZING RACE (#33) in originals, along with a couple of news magazine shows. The network did push 14 shows into the top 30.
FOX fails to place any programs within the top 30, with the MASTERCHEF premiere leading the way at #38. The network did top CBS in two of the three demographic categories and tied it in the A25-54 demo.
The CW only had three hours of new shows, in THE ORIGINALS, REIGN and iZOMBIE. The viewership average dipped below 900k and the A18-40 demo was under a 0.3.
