Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 05/25/2017

Now that the regular tv season is over, the networks flooded Thursday night with repeats. ABC, CBS and The CW, were 100% encores, with CBS doing a little better than the other two. But CBS still cam in third, behind the two network with all-original programming.

FOX premiered two new shows, Jamie Foxx's BEAT SHAZAM and a reboot of the classic dating series, LOVE CONNECTION. SHAZAM drew the best demographic ratings of the night, including a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49. LOVE CONNECTION mostly held that lead in audience, dropping just a tenth of a point in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos.

For ABC, a special AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR was the top show of the night, for the network, drawing 4.2 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating. RUNNING WILD W/BEAR GRYLLS dropped about 20% of that lead in, during the 9 PM hour. The annual RED NOSE DAY event aired at 10 PM, dropping another 20% from its lead in.
