It was a competitive week between ABC, CBS and NBC. Just one tenth of a point separated the three networks in both the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics. ABC won the A18-34 and A18-49 demographics and tied with CBS in the A25-54 age group. CBS brought in the most viewers, while ABC and NBC were just 200k from each other.
ABC's demographic wins were on the strength of Saturday night's NBA Playoff game, which posted a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-34 (#1) and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49 (#2), for nearly three hours. The game also drew 5.9 million viewers. ABC placed just five shows in the top 30, but that represents 8 hour of programming.
CBS pushed 17 shows in the top 30, including the top three shows of the week, in NCIS (#1), THE BIG BANG THEORY (#2), and BULL (#3). The season finale of BLUE BLOODS ranked 6th on the week, with 9.2 million viewers.
NBC's week was fairly predictable. All four CHICAGO series made the top 30, with CHICAGO MED leading the way at #21. The two THE VOICE nights ranked #7 and #10, doing the best of any NBC program. The last remaining NBC show in the top 30 is LITTLE BIG SHOTS at #15.
FOX was mostly out of the loop for the week. It best showing was in the A18-34 demographic where it tied CBS for third in the category. Otherwise, FOX was a distant 4th place. As in recent weeks, EMPIRE (#28) was the lone 30 entry for FOX, with the next best show ranking #59th (LUCIFER).
