Preliminary Ratings: Friday 04/21/2017

On a low viewership Friday night, CBS and NBC split the ratings leadership, with CBS attracting the most viewers, with an all-encore schedule, and NBC sweeping the demographic ratings.

CBS won the 8 PM hour with an encore of MACGYVER, topping new episodes of THE TOY BOX, and FIRST DATES. NBC's DATELINE took over for the last two hours, beating SHARK TANK at 9 PM and 20/20 at 10 PM.

The CW ratings appear to be elevated from local sports preemption as repeats of either series would draw a much lower number of viewers.
