US Box Office Results: March 3 - 5, 2017
The latest movie from the X-MEN franchise, LOGAN, is this weekend's #1 movie, with a take of over $85 million. It is the best opening for a WOLVERINE movie, just toping the 2009 ORIGINS movie. Among all ten X-MEN movies it is in the middle of the pack, besting last year's X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, by $20 million.
Last week's #1 movie, GET OUT, dropped one spot to #2, with s weekend gross of #26.1 million. That brings the $4.5 million movie's 10-day total to $76 million.
At #3 is another new movie, THE SHACK, bringing in $16.1 million. The Christian movie rankes as the 4th over opening all among traditional Christian movies, behind PASSION OF THE CHRIST, SON OF GOD and HEAVEN IS FOR REAL.
