Final Broadcast Ratings: March 1, 2017

Exactly thirty-five years after the premiere of the short lived drama, CHICAGO STORY, NBC completes its rebuilding of a dramatic universe of Lawyers, Doctors, Police and Firefighters, with the premiere of CHICAGO JUSTICE. The latest series in the Chicago franchise won the 10 PM time slot, with 8.7 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49. The premiere was led into by two of the other CHICAGO series, with FIRE starting off at 8 PM and PD at 9 PM. FIRE was #2 and PD #1, in their respective time slots.

CBS was in regrouping mode, with an encore of BULL covering for the quickly cancelled drma, DOUBT. That helped push the network to 4th place in the A18-34 demo and tied ABC for the A18-49 demographic. CBS was the second most watched network. Next week should be better, with the two hour premiere of SURVIVOR.

ABC started the night off good, with THE GOLDBERGS and MODERN FAMILY tying NBC for top numbers in the hour, but part two of the series event, WHEN WE RISE, continues to bomb, pulling the worst numbers of the night, outside of The CW.

FOX used an encore of LETHAL WEAPON to lead off the night, so it was only able to top THE CW in the ratings.
