US Box Office Results: February 24 - 26, 2017
The Jordan Peele movie, GET OUT, is the #1 movie in America, grossing $30.5 million in its first three days of release. The movie has already made its $4.5 million production budget, and then some, and is on track for a $100 million total take in its theatrical run.
LEGO BATMAN is still going strong, adding $19 million tot its take, now at $133 million domestically.
JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 also has legs in the theaters, rising one spot to #3 this weekend. With its $9 million take this weekend, the movie now has $74.4 million in 17 days, domestically, and another $51 million from international markets.
New releases doing poorly this weekend were the animated ROCK DOG (#11), grossing just $3.7 million in over 2,000 theaters, and COLLIDE (#13) making just $1.5 million on 2,045 theaters.
