Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 02/15/2017
It was a four-way battle in the Wednesday night ratings, with FOX leading the charge in the A18-34 demographic, ABC gaining the advantage in the A18-49 and A25-54 demo and CBS hauling in the most viewers. NBC was not far from the pack, with a few second place showings.
CBS had the lone premiere of the night, with the new Katherine Heigl series, DOUBT, which drew low ratings out of the gate.Just 5.3 million viewers tuned into the premiere, along with a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49. Its retention out of CRIMINAL MINDS was a little over 70% in viewers and a little over 60% in the A18-49 demo. DOUBT also produced the lowest demographic ratings of the night, from the Big 4 Networks and was last at 10 PM, losing to MATCH GAME. CBS was 4th on the night in the A18-49 demographic.
THE GOLDBERGS and MODERN FAMILY helped lead BC to wins in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics. The GOLDBERGS were just 10% behind MODERN FAMILY in the categories, making it #2 overall for the night, in the two demos. Both shows were #1 in their respective time slots.
LETHAL WEAPON was #2 in the 8 PM hour, behind the ABC Comedies. STAR continues to drop audience levels from its lead in, except in the A18-34 demo. There its was tied for Second on the night, in the younger demographic.
NBC had a relatively solid night, competing with ABC, CBS and FOX.
