On the back of the 59th GRAMMY AWARDS, CBS sweeps the weekly ratings, doubling up its nearest competitors in most categories. The network takes the top seven spots on the chart and 16 of the top 20. of all the CBS programs, only two hours of the Saturday night line up fail to make the top 50. CBS inched closer to NBC in the season-to-date A18-49 ratings, with a 2.0 to 2.4 ratings, respectively. FOX is in between them, with a 2.3 ratings, but should slide behind CBS by seasons end.
ABC is the #2 network of the week, with three top 20 programs, including GREY'S ANATOMY at #10. THE BACHELOR was #2 overall in the demographic ratings, behind THE GRAMMYS. In total, ABC had six top 30 programs. ABC also had a strong Saturday Night NBA game, which drew twos in the demographic categories, placing it third overall with A18-34 viewers.
Third place is the best NBC can give its viewers, when it does not have either THE VOICE or NFL games. THIS IS US is the lone NBC program in the top 20 and just five NBC shows make the top 30. NBC is a mediocre network, without its two big guns.
FOX slid from first to fourth without the Super Bowl to help it out. Only 24: LEGACY and LETHAL WEAPON make the top 30 for FOX and just three programs (adding APB) made the top 50. FOX also had the honor have having the least watched show of the week, from the five broadcast networks, with the 7PM Sunday encore of SON OF ZORN.
