Primetime Cable Ratings: January 24, 2017

The BET Miniseries, THE NEW EDITION STORY (#2) got of to a great start on Tuesday night, drawing in 4.2 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49, the nights best in the category. It is one of the best rated premieres for BET in recent years.

CURSE OF OAK ISLAND was the evening's top entertainment series, ranking 4th overall and collecting 3.2 million viewers and a 1.0 demo rating. that is up 200k in total viewers and a 25 % jump in the A18-49 demographic, over last week's numbers.

New drama series, TABOO was mostly flat, week-to-week, with 1.1 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating. It may have helped having the CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER movie as a lead in as FX stayed at that level for most of the night.
