Complete Nielsen Ratings: January 9 - 15, 2017
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #96:
NFL programming dominated the weekly ratings chart, with CBS, NBC and FOX all getting a piece of the action. The Sunday overrun playoff game, featuring the Packers vs Cowboys, was the #1 program of the week, drawing 38.8 million viewers, in Primetime. The game averaged 45 million over the entire game, which started around 4:30 PM. NBC's game, originally scheduled for 1 PM on Sunday, was moved to primetime, because of icy weather and the network greatly benefited from the move. NBC was the #1 network with the game, and without it it may have battled FOX for the #2 spot. CBS had one game over the weekend, Patriots vs Texans, in primetime on Saturday night. The game collected just under 30 million viewers, as New England blew out the texans to advance into the conference championship game.
In the top 30, FOX pushed four shows in, with THE SIMPSONS and LETHAL WEAPON joining the NFL game and post-game. NBC took over six spots, with THIS IS US (#7) as the top series of the week. CBS dominated the top of the chart with 15 programs in the top 30.
Without any sports programming, ABC was a distant fourth place, managing just two top 20 programs and a total of five in the top 30, which includes four comedies and THE BACHELOR.
