US Box Office Results: November 11 - 13, 2016
Last week's top two movies are, again, this week's top two movies. DR. STRANGE added $43 million to its total, to retain the #1 spot, while TROLLS adds $35 million, for the #2 spot. Their respective 10-day totals are $153 million and $94 million, domestically.
The new release, ARRIVAL, brought in $24 million for its first three days, for the #3 spot of the weekend. That is about half of the movie's production budget, which it should easily pass, on its way to over an estimated $80 million take by the end of its run.
The Tom Hanks movie, INFERNO made its last entry in the top 10, this weekend, grosing just $3.3 million in just its third weekend of release. INFERNO has only grossed just over $31 million so far, domestically, but the movie is a hit internationally, with a total take of $171 million, outside od the USA.
