NBC sweeps the weekly ratings, thanks to an above average SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALl game and the top broadcast numbers on election night. Half of the NBC chedule (11 hours) made the top 30, including SNF's 22.5 million viewers and election night's 11.2 million.
CBS scores a second place finish as 60 MINUTES (#3) is this week's top regular series, drawing 20 million viewers for its first interview with President-Elect Trump. That was without a national NFL game lead in. CBS placed 14 programs, or 14 hours, in the top 30.
ABC was a close third place this week, but only placed four shows in the top 30, including the network's coverage of the national elections, at #15. DANCING WITH THE STARS was the top show for ABC, ranking 10th, while GREY'S ANATOMY (#24) and MODERN FAMILY (#25) round out its top 30 showing.
With the World Series done, FOX returned to fourth place, but secured second place in the A18-49 demographic, behind NBC. The late overrun NFL game was the most watched primetime program, commanding 24.2 million viewers and an 8.5 rating in Adults 18-49, for close to a full hour on Sunday night. THE OT, EMPIRE, THE SIMPSONS and LETHAL WEAPON make up the rest of the top 30 showings by FOX.
