US Box Office Results: October 28 - 30, 2016
For the second weekend in a row, BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN is the #1 movie in the country. The comedy added another $16.7 million to bring its 10-day total to $52 million, over 2.5 times its production budget.
The third film of the of the Dan Brown books, only managed to take in $15 million in its first three days. It is, by far the lowest opening of the the trilogy, with '06 THE DA VINCI CODE taking in $77 million in opening weekend and '09s ANGELS & DEMONS grossing $46 million its first three days. But, don't feel bad for the movie. It has closing in on $200 million in the international markets.
Another Bollywood film makes the top-ten, with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil taking in over $.21 million in just 302 theaters. It had the second best per-screen average, with $7,070, less than $200 per-screen behind MADEA.
