US Box Office Results: October 21 - 23, 2016
Another sequel, JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, was the #2 movie of the weekend, hauling in $23 million in its first weekend of release. The $60 million movie should make up its production budget, but will not be a huge money maker, in the US. Currently, it has brought in $31 million in its international release.
The horror film, OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL did $14 million this weekend, 55% more than its production budget. With a limited shelf life, OUIJA should make $30 million before the end of its theatrical run, or three times the cost of making the film.
