Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 10/12/2016

EMPIRE leads FOX to a Wednesday night win, as the drama draws 9.3 million viewers and a 3.4 rating in Adults 18-49. That is even from last week's numbers and the first time this season, the ratings did not drop, week-to-week. LETHAL WEAPON took its full 18 episode season renewal to heart, growing week-to week, including a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49, a gain of 0.2 points.

ABC and CBS battled it out for the #2 spot of the night, with ABC getting a slight edge int he younger demographics, while CBS attracted more total viewers. Wednesday nights on ABC is solid and consistent, while CBS is strong between 8 and 10 PM, but drops between 30% and 40%, in the final hour.

NBC continues to trail in fourth place on the night, with each crime drama holding steady from the previous week. BLINDSPOT continues to be weak, pulling the lowest numbers of the night, from either FOX, ABC, CBS or NBC.
