Preliminary Ratings: Monday 10/17/2016

Two season premieres hot the Monday night schedule, both entering their third seasons. THE ODD COUPLE, in its first fall premiere, drew 4.7 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to its season two finale, back in May, viewership is up, slightly, but the A18-49 demo is up 22%. JANE THE VIRGIN, on The CW, posted its best numbers since the season one season finale. Having a much better lead in will do that for a struggling series.

NBC was #1 on the night, as THE VOICE posted a 2.6 rating in the A1-49 demographic, along with 11.1 million viewers. That is down 10% from last week's A18-49 rating, and viewership is down 300,000 viewers. TIMELESS held steady in viewership, but is up a tenth of a point, in the A18-49 demo, from last week's episode.

CBS is #2 on the night, winning the 8 PM hour and was right behind TIMELESS at 10 PM. SCORPION was flat, week-to-week, despite a much weaker lead in.

ABC edged out FOX for the #3 spot. Both shows are mostly flat, with CONVICTION still losing 50%, or more, in the ratings from its lead in.
