The final weekend of the summer movie season ends with DON'T BREATH holding on to the #1 spot, for the second weekend in a row. The thriller brought in another $19.6 million, bringing its 11-day total to $55 million. Not bad for a movie that cost under $10 million to make.
SUICIDE SQUAD ends its summer in the second spot on the weekend, with $12.8 million and a total summer take of $297 million, ranking 4th for the season. Warner Brothers/DC Comics had a strong summer, with SS and BATMAN v SUPERMAN bringing in a combined total of $630 million.
