Top 100 Primetime Cable: Aug. 29 - Sept. 4, 2016

Who would have guessed that the FOX News program, HANNITY, would be this week's most watched cable program. The Wednesday night show followed the much anticipated Donald Trump speech on immigration. Over 5.2 million viewers tuned into the program, along with a un-FOX News like 0.7 rating in the A18-49 demographic. However, the audience did not stick around on Thursday as viewership dropped to 1.8 million viewers.

College football is back and dominates the A18-49 demographic. The late ESPN game, on Saturday night, posted a 1.9 rating in the demo, while the early evening game, beforehand, drew 1.2 rating. The two games brought in 4.7 million and 3.5 million viewers, respectively.

RIZZOLI & ISLES was the top scripted program of the week, finishing second overall, with 4.8 million viewers. MAJOR CRIMES followed with 4.0 million viewers

The HGTV series, FLIP OR FLOP, was the top reality series of the week, collecting 2.5 million viewers. That bested the #2 show of the genre, MOUNTAIN MEN, which brought in 2.3 million viewers.
