TV NEWS: Comedy Central Cancels THE NIGHTLY SHOW

Comedy central has cancelled the late night program, THE NIGHTLY SHOW, hosted by Larry Willmore. The 11:30 PM series will air its last episode this Thursday, August 18, 2016.

THE NIGHTLY SHOW was the program that replaced THE COLBERT REPORT, when Stephen Colbert left CC to host THE LATE SHOW, on CBS.

Ratings for THE NIGHTLY SHOW have been really soft, usually being the lowest rated late night talk show each evening and dropping about a third, or more, of the audience from THE DAILY SHOW.

Starting next week, @midinght, hosted by Chris Hardwick, will fill in the for the departing talk show.
