Preliminary Ratings: Monday 08/01/2016

ABC dominated the Monday night ratings, with the season finale of THE BACHELORETTE and the special AFTER THE ROSE program. For the three hours of primetime, ABC averaged a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-34 and collected 8.3 million viewers. Both programs saw more viewers, year-to-year, but the demos remained flat.

The CW appears to have perked up with SUPERGIRL airing for the first time on the network. The two encore episodes drew in 1.6 million viewers and averaged a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. As long as there were no local sports preemptions, this may be the best numbers of the summer, for The CW.

NBC took second, with AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR bringing in 5.8 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating. The season premiere of RUNNING WILD W/BEAR GRYLLS only held onto about 60-65 percent of its lead in, but did easily beat an encore of SCORPION, for second place in the 10 PM hour.

CBS and FOX battled it out for the scraps. CBS' encore lineup mostly matched two new hours of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, on FOX.
