Preliminary Ratings: Monday 07/04/2016

NBC swept the July 4th ratings with a solid performance by the Macy's 4th Of July Firework's Spectacular live event. The show drew 7.0 million viewers and a solid 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up by close to 50% from last year's show, but it did air on a Saturday night, when most viewers did not have to go to work the next day. The encore of the fireworks show, at 10 PM, was the second best rated show of the evening, holding onto 67% of its lead in.

CBS had its won fireworks show, featuring the Boston Pops, airing an hour later then NBC's special, from 9 to 11 PM. CBS only collected 4.6 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49, second in both the 9 and 10 PM hours.

ABC aired an encore of THE BACHELOR, but did air a new episode of MISTRESSES, at 10 PM. As expected, it was a distant third in the hour, without any lead in support.

FOX gave us the series finale of HOUDINI & DOYLE. The low rated drama did grow in total viewers, from its lead in. But otherwise, it was four  in its 9 PM hour.
