Complete Nielsen Ratings: July 4 - 10, 2016
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #91:
NBC had an easy time sweeping the weekly ratings, dominating in every category and demographic. With a solid summer line up of US Olympic Trials, solid competition series and a couple scripted program pushed the network to week-to-week gains, during a holiday week, when the other nets saw losses.
NBC took the top three spots, four of the top ten and a total of nine in the top 30. Only five of its 22 hours of programming failed to make the top 40, of which three of those hours were encore programming. AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was the #1 program of the week, drawing over 12.8 million viewers. The MACY'S FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, on the 4th of July, ranked 8th and collected over seven million viewers. Three Olympic Trials made the top 30, lead by Sunday's Women's Gymnastics finals, ranking second overall, with 8.6 million viewers.
ABC and CBS battled it out for a distant second place finish. Both nets tied in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics, with CBS doing slightly better in households and total viewers. ABC pushed all four of its game shows into the top 30, with all three Sunday night games making the top 15. CBS did have the most top 30 shows, with 14, but it is mostly encores and BIG BROTHER filling in the spots.
FOX is regressing back towards the CW, instead of being competitive with the Big Three networks. Not a single program made the top 30and only MASTERCHEF (#32)made the top 50. Of the bottom 22 program of the week, FOX claims 10 spots, while the CW takes 12.
