Preliminary Ratings: Monday 06/27/2016

NBC edged out NBC for the Monday night win, with a solid performance from the USA Olympic Swimming Trials, scoring 5.2 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49, during the 8 PM hour. That placed it in second place, behind THE BACHELORETTE, in the time slot. A two hour AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR tied THE BACHELORETTE for the top A18-49 rating (2.0) and was the #1 show among Adults 25-54. Starting an hour later, the ratings for ANWQ were up about 10% over last week.

THE BACHELORETTE saw a small drop in the week-to-week numbers, but it still maintained being the #1 show of the evening. Nothing comes close to the series, in the A18-34 demographic. MISTRESSES was relatively flat, over last week.

Even with the dead BRAIN DEAD, at 10 PM, CBS was able to slip past FOX for third on the night. CBS needs to cut its losses on the freshman summer series and move it to Friday/Saturday nights and put NCIS: LA encores back on Monday evenings.

Just when HOUDINI & DOYLE could get any worse, the series was the worst rated program of the evening, including encores from The CW.
