Final Broadcast Ratings: June 29, 2016

It was a relatively competitive Wednesday night in the ratings, with just three tenths of a point separating the Big 4 networks in the A18-34 and A18-49 demographics and less than two million total viewers. CBS was the top network in the three demographic categories, while NBC drew the most viewers.

Week two of BIG BROTHER, and only one hour now, saw viewership remain mostly steady, the A18-34 demo up two tenths and the A18-49 demo down a tenth, from last week's season premiere. CRIMINAL MINDS is back, with encores, at 9 PM, leading into a new episode of AMERICAN GOTHIC, which was even from its series premiere, last week.

NBC's two hours of HE NIGHT SHIFT did have mixed results. It lost to the repeat of CRIMINAL MINDS, at 9 PM, but won the 10 PM hour, over AMERICAN GOTHIC. At 8 PM, the US Olympic Swimming Trials drew the second best numbers of the night, behind BIG BROTHER with ratings consistent with the two previous nights.

FOX did not completely suck last night. it was second in the A18-34 and A18-49 demos, tied with ABC in viewership and took third on the A125-54 demographic. WAYWARD PINES tied THE NIGHTSHIFT in the two younger demo ratings, despit drawing about half the total audience.
