Final Broadcast Ratings: June 22, 0216

CBS is starting to roll out its summer programming and swept the night with the premieres of BIG BROTHER and AMERICAN GOTHIC. BB18 was the #1 show of the night, drawing 6.2 million viewers and a solid 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down from last summer's premiere of 6.9 million viewers and a 2.1 demo rating. The A25-54 demo was only down one tenth of a point, from a 2.4 to a 2.3 rating.

The series premiere of AMERICAN GOTHIC looks to be another miss for CBS, as the drama only held onto 3.4 million viewers (-39%), from its lead in and dropped 63% of its 18-49 lead in. We'll see if the series has any traction in either the Live+3 or Live+7 ratings, over the next few weeks.

NBC edged out FOX and ABC for second place. An encore of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR topped FOX's line up and beat the ABC comedy encores. THE NIGHT SHIFT, at 10 PM, was the top show of its time slot, collecting 4.3 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49.

For FOX, MASTERCHEF was the #2 show, overall, of the evening, with just 3.7 million viewers, relatively strong in the demo. WAYWARD PINES was 4th in its time slot, losing to the ABC comedies.
