US Box Office Results: May 20 - 22, 2016

THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE is the #1 movie in America, collecting $39 million in its first three days of release. The moive dthrones CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR as the the top movie by a $6 million dollar margin. ANGREY BIRDS also topped the combined new releases of THE NICE GUYS (#4) and NEIGHBORS 2 (#3).

CAPTAIN AMERICA, in its third weekend of release, has a doemstic total of $347 million just behind DEADPOOL for the #1 spot of the year. ZOOTOPIA added another 1.7 million to its total and is now third for the year, with $334 million
