Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 05/01/2016
ABC, CBS and NBC all had a share of the Sunday night leadership. ABC was tops in the A18-34 demographic and tied with NBC for the A18-49 lead. CBS drew the most viewers, by far, and equalled NBC's A25-54 demo rating for the top spot. FOX was competitive, but four on the night.
For NBC, it had the op program of the night, with LITTLE BIG SHOTS posting the op numbers in all three key demographic ratings, and was the second most watched of of the evening. The reality series was down from its last original episode, two weeks ago, by 800,000 viewers and a tenth of point in the A18-49 demo.
CBS had the most watched program of the evening, with 60 MINUTES and three of the top four, with MADAM SECRETARY and THE GOOD WIFE. The Demographic ratings were consistent across the board, from 8 to 10 PM.
It had been flirting with it for the past few weeks, but this Sunday, AFV officially became ABC's #1 show on Sunday night. The long running video clip series beat all three dramas in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics. It is the first time an AFV episode topped an original episode of ONCE UPONA TIME, in the A18-49 demo. AFV was also the #1 program in the 7 PM hour, in the key demographic ratings.
The American Country Countdown Awards were a fizzle for FOX as the two hour event didn't even top four million viewers on the night.
