FOX 2016-17 Fall TV Schedule

FOX released its new 2016-17 fall schedule on Monday and it features three new series and four returning series in new time slots.

Mondays will remain the same as this past spring, with GOTHAM leading off the week, followed by the closest thing FOX had to a hit freshman series, LUCIFER.

TUESDAYS have changed from last fall, with BROOKLYN NINE-NINE leading off the night and NEW GIRL coming back in the fall, instead of midseason, at 8:30. SCREAM QUEENS is back for another installment, at 9 PM.

The first new series leads of Wednesday nights as the TV adaptation of the LEATHAL WEAPON tries to solidify the time slot before EMPIRE. If WEAPON can draw an audience, FOX could be in for a very strong night in the ratings.

BONES move to 9 PM, on Thursday night, making rom for the relocated ROSEWOOD. This may end up being FOX's weakest night, outside of Saturday nights.

HELL's KITCHEN returns for another round of foul-mouth chefs, followed by another TV adaptation of a major motion picture, THE EXORCIST. THE EXORCIST will be going head-to-head with GRIMM for the same audience.

SUNDAYS ramain mostly the same, with just the addition of ON OF ZORN, in between THE SIMPSONS and FAMILY GUY. ZORN is a live action.animated sitcom.

For the midseason, fox has the reboot/spinoff series, 24:LEGACY ready for the Monday 8 PM slot, with the new crime drama, APB, following at 9 PM.

Tuesdays will see NEW GIRL and B99 sharing the 9 pm slot, while the new comedy THE MICK occupies the 8:30 slot. KICKING & SCREAMING plus PITCH will fill out the 9 PM slot over the last few months of the season.

When LEATHAL WEAPON ends, SHOT FIRES will take over the Wednesday 8 PM slot and the spin-off STAR will fill the void when EMPIRE takes the winter off.

Thursdays are scheduled to remain the same, but I doubt that will actually happen.

Fridays has SLEEPY HOLLOW taking over the 9 PM slot from THE EXORCIST.

Sundays has MAKING HISTORY in the prized 8:30 Slot, when SON OF ZORN concludes its initial run.
