Final Broadcast Ratings: May 17, 2016

On a night where ABC, CBS and NBC each closed the season on two-thirds of their regular Tuesday night programs, CBS was able to sweep the night in the ratings. NCIS closed out another great season collecting 18.0 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in Adults 18-49. it was easily the #1 show of the night, defeating THE VOICE. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was the #2 show of the night, also topping THE VOICE, with 13.3 million viewers on its own.

On ABC, a two hour finale of AGENTS OF SHIELD didn't do much in the ratings. Just three million viewers tuned in placing the show last in its time slots. Why did this series get renewed for a fourth season?

Over on NBC, the two CHICAGO series closed out on a good note, as each hauled in just under 8 million viewers. CHICAGO FIRE won the 10 PM slot, while CHICAGO MED was edged out by NCIS: NO, at 9 PM.

FOX had the night's lone series premiere as COUPLED stated its "summer" run. With just 1.8 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-34, it was the lowest rated program, from the Big four networks, and bare kept ahead of the CW's CONTAINMENT. Having the Megan Kelly Presents FOX News special was very poor scheduling by FOX.
