CBS 2016-17 Fall TV Schedule
CBS released its new 2016-17 Fall schedule and it will feature six new series and include seven veteran shows moving to new nights/time slots. Like the previous two falls, CBS will have THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL for the first six weeks of the NFL season, before launching its regular Monday and Thursday night schedules.
On Mondays, the night will kick-off with the new Kevin James sitcom, KEVIN CAN WAIT. That will lead into another new comedy, MAN WITH A PLAN, starring Matt LeBlanc. The 9 PM hour will see 2 BROKE GIRLS return to the night, at 9 PM, while Third year comedy, THE ODD COUPLE will premiere in its first fall schedule at 9 :30 PM. SCORPION moves back an hour to the 10 PM slot.
Tuesdays will see NCIS: NEW ORLEANS move to the 10 PM slot so as to place the new drama, BULL in between the two NCIS series. BULL will feature NCIS' Michael Weatherly as a young Dr, Phil McGraw.
Wednesday nights will look exactly the same as last fall, with the return of SURVIVOR, CRIMINAL MINDS and CODE BLACK.
Once NFL Football is over in late October, THE BIG BANG THEORY will once again lead off the night. THE GREAT INDOORS, starring Joel McHale, will follow at 8:30. MOM returns at 9 PM< while LIFE IN PIECES moves to the 9:30 slot. The new drama for the 10 PM slot is PURE GENIUS, about a cutting edge hospital.
Fridays will see the reboot/remake of the classic 80's series, MacGYVER, starringLucas Till and George Eads. H5O and BLUE BLOODS return to the night.
Sundays see a shift in the schedule, thanks to the exit of THE GOOD WIFE. NCIS: LA will follow 60 MINUTES, at 8 PM and MADAM SECREATARY moves back an hour, to 9 PM. ELEMENTARY returns to is recent time slot, at 10 PM.
