ABC 2016-17 Fall TV Schedule

ABC comes out with a rather aggressive fall schedule, featuring six new series and the movement of four veteran series, to new time slots.

With CASTLE ending its run, CONVICTION takes over the Monday night, 10 PM slot, out of the next edition of DANCING WITH THE STARS.

TUESDAYS has completely changed, with THE MIDDLE moving from Wednesdays to help kick of the night and, hopefully, bring some more eyes to the night. New comedy, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE, follows at 8:30. This spring's 8 PM hour comedies move to the 9 PM hour, while AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. takes the cursed 10 PM hour.

On Wednesdays, THE GOLDBERGS take over the lead-off position, with a second new comedy, SPEECHLESS, taking the 8:30 slot. MODERN FAMILY and BLACK-ISH sta in the 9 PM hour, while new drama, DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (featuring Kiefer Sutherland), takes over the 10 PM hour.

This fall, SCANDAL will not be on the schedule, with ABC taking the opportunity to feature NOTORIOUS, out of GREY'S ANATOMY. HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER returns as the longest title of the new season.

Friday night will remain the same as 2015-16, and College football will occupy Saturday nights, in the fall.

With the cancellation of THE FAMILY, ABC will place the new drama SECRETS & LIES in the Sunday, 9 PM hour, while the rest of the night remains the same.
