Amazon is ramping up a new action series, based on Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan CIA character. John Krasinski is on board to play the lead character. The pilot has yet to be produced. No premiere time frame set.
PUNISHER coming to Netflix:
Another Marvel character is getting his own series, this on Netflix. The classic character, THE PUNISHER, will be the sixth series from Marvel for Netflix and will star Jon Bernthal (THE CLASS, THE WALKING DEAD) as the title character.
New PEANUTS:
The PEANUTS gang of Charlie Brown Peppermint Patty and Lucy are coming to Boomerang with a new series of animated shorts. The series begins May 9, 2016, at 11:30 AM.
MATCH GAME coming back, again:
ABC is reviving the classic game show, MATCH GAME, for this summer. The new series will be hosted by actor ALEC BALDWIN and be placed in a three hour, Sunday block of game shows. The other games show in the block are CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD and THE $100,000 PYRAMID. The series premiere is slated for June 26.
FOX adds new series for 2016-17:
FOX has officially picked up the long reported 24: LEGACY action series for next season. Cory Hawkins will be the new lead. FOX also added the series STAR, a musical drama from the creator of EMPIRE, starring Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt.
More UNDERGROUND:
Being one of the better rated original series on WGN America, UNDERGROUND was renewed for a second season.
Nothing new in Daytime for CBS:
CBS has officially renewed the entire Daytime line up for next season.
More SUMMER:
Netflix is bringing back WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER for another 8 episodes, set 10 years later. A 2017 premiere is currently scheduled.
