Final Broadcast Ratings: April 13, 2016
With EMPIRE in full force, FOX had an easy time winning the night in the three key demographic ratings. EMPIRE was the most watched and top rated program of the night, drawing 10.1 million viewers and a 3.8 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down 1.2 million viewers and 12% in the demo, from last week's airing. ROSEWOOD was also down from its last airing, dropping 15% in the demo.
CBS edged out ABC for second place, as CBS had three of the four most watched programs of the night and won two of the three hours of primetime, in all categories. New series CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS had a relatively strong night, retaining 90% of its lead in and growing 25% in the A18-49 demographic, over last week. It that enough for it to secure a second season order?
ABC's comedies kept the network competitive, but, once again, it is NASHVILLE that drags down the nightly average. It barely topped the second hour of STRONG, on NBC, to stay out of last place, in the 10 PM hour.
The premiere of the NBC competition series, STORNG, debuted to rather soft numbers. With THE VOICE as its lead in, STRONG only managed 3.4 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. It dropped over 60 percent of its lead in audience and lost over 40 percent of the demo audience.
