US Box Office Results: March 11 - 13, 2016
Disney's ZOOTOPIA was the #1 movie in America, for the second weekend in a row, grabbing an additional $50 million. That brings the animated movie's 10 day domestic take to $142 million. overseas, ZOOTOPIA had brought in just under $290 million.10 CLOVERFIELD LANE lead all new movies, ranking second overall and collecting $25 million in its first weekend. That is on par with what CLOVERFILED drew its first weekend, eight years ago.
THE PREFECT MATCH, in less than 1000 theaters, had the third best per secreen average, with $4,500. The movie brought in $4.2 million over the weekend, topping a wide release movie like THE BROTHERS GRIMSBY.
