Backdoor pilot for NBC:
NBC is developing a 'backdoor pilot', spinning off from THE BLACKLIST. If picked up, the new series would feature Famke Janssen in the lead role, possibly playing the mother of the supporting character, Tom Keen. The episodes is scheduled for a May 5 airing.



TNT Summer Premieres:
TNT announced its summer 2016 premiere dates.
  • (June 6) RIZZOLI & ISLES
  • (June 7) ANIMAL KINGDOM - new series
  • (June 12) THE LAST SHIP
  • (June 13) MAJOR CRIMES
  • (June 19) MURDER IN THE FIRST


Patty Duke passes away:
Award winning actress, Patty Duke, passes away at the age of 69. She is best know for her 1960's roll as identical cousins, in THE PATTY DUKE SHOW.



James Noble passes away:
The actor who played the Governor in the 80's sitcom, BENSON, dies at the age of 94. Noble was a World War II veteran, in the Navy,



Renewals at Comedy Central:
Eight Comedy Central series got good news on Tuesday as they have been picked up for another season. Those series are TOSH.O, DRUNK HISTORY, REVIEW, THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, ALTERATINO, NOTHIN'S EASY and QUESTIONABLE. New series NOT SAFE WITH NIKKI GLASER has had its first season episode count bumped up with 10 more episodes.



NBC's A FEW GOOD MEN:
NBC has put Aaron Sorkin in charge of producing the live production of A FEW GOOD MEN. The project will premiere in early 2017.
