Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 03/22/2016

NBC gave us a brand new medical drama, HEARTBEAT, on Tuesday night and the ratings were a bit soft for the premiere. HEARTBEAT only generated 6.3 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. That was only good enough to place second in the 9 PM hour, as the drama lost over 40% of its lead in ratings, from THE VOICE. NBC placed second on the night, behind CBS.

CBS swept the night in the ratings, posting the two most watched shows and three of the top five program in the A18-49 demographic. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was up, week-to-week, over one million in total viewers and nearly 40% in the A18-49 demo.

The CW and ABC battled it out for third place, with ABC edging the CW in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos. For ABC, only FRESH OFF THE BOAT grabbed over four million viewers and BEYOND THE TANK did marginally better than the now cancelled OF KING AND PROPHETS. AGENTS OF SHIELD had a bad night, drawing under three million viewers and posing numbers worse than THE FLASH.

That leaves FOX, with mostly repeats, in fifth place, across the board.
