Preliminary Ratings: Monday 02/29/2016
NBC is back to winning Monday nights as both THE VOICE and BLINDSPOT had their winter premieres. NBC swept the night in the ratings and won every hour of the night. Compared to its fall premiere, THE VOICE is up near a million viewers and has gains of on tenth of a point in the A25-54 demo, but is down a tenth in the A18-49 demographic. Compared to last February, THE VOICE is down 600k in viewership and off by 17% in the demo. BLINDSPOT is down from its fall finale by just 200,000 viewers and a tenth of a point in three younger demos.
FOX also had a winter premiere as GOTHAM kicked off its second half of the season. The comic book based action drama brought in 4.2 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. That is slightly down from its fall finale and season premiere numbers. LUCIFER had a sizable drop, now that THE X-FILES is gone. Week-to-week the new drama lost one million viewers (-20%) and the A18-49 demo dropped 15%.
THE BACHELOR was completely flat from last weeks numbers, with exception of total viewership, which dropped 600,000. CASTLE lost a tenth of a point in both the A18-34 and A25-54 demos, and was flat in the A18-49 demo.
CBS was down across the board from last week's ratings. The only non-negative number was SUPERGIRL's A18-34 rating of a 0.8, that equaled the previous week's.
