Final Broadcast Ratings: March 30, 2016

With the return of EMPIRE, comes the return of FOX winning a night. The spring premiere generated 12.5 million viewers and a 4.8 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up by 700,000 viewers and three tenths in the demo, from last fall's finale. ROSEWOOD benefited with the return of EMPIRE, as it jumped 1.5 million viewers and 40% in the demo, from last week's episode.

CBS finished second on the night, with solid ratings from both SURVIVOR and CRIMINAL MINDS. The series ranked #2 and #3 on the night, respectively, in all key categories. BEYOND BORDER dropped 23% of the lead in viewership of parent CRIMINAL MINDS. Not bad retention, but not great either.

NBC edged out ABC for the third spot of the night. ABC was in encores from 8 to 10 PM, while NBC was all new for the night. ABC's NASHVILLE and NBC's HEARTBEAT tied for the lowest numbers in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics, by a Big 4 network program. ABC did tie The CW in the A18-34 demo, for last place.
